New Employee Orientation is held at the headquarters of the Wake County Public School System's Human Resources Department, the Crossroads II Building in Cary. The Crossroads II Building is located at 110 Corning Road, just off Dillard Drive, between the intersections with Jones Franklin Road and Walnut Street.  The facility is just south of the Crossroads Shopping Center.   

From Durham, Chapel Hill, and all points West of Raleigh:

  1. Take I-40 East, past the Airport exits and past the Wade Avenue exits
  2. Take Exit 293
  3. Immediately take Exit 293-A,
  4. Follow the highway to "Walnut Street, Exit 101-A."
  5. At the top of the ramp, turn RIGHT at the traffic signal onto Walnut Street
  6. Go three more traffic signals and turn LEFT onto Dillard Drive
  7. Go 1/3 of a mile (Holiday Inn on left)
  8. Turn RIGHT onto Corning Road; follow to the Crossroads II Building, which will be on your right.
  9. Enter the building's front door, proceed to the center of the atrium and turn right. You will see a television screen ahead and a hallway bearing off to the right. Proceed down that hallway into the classroom section. On your right will be Room 1410, where your WCPSS ID Badge will be made. You will be directed to a classroom from there.
 

From Raleigh-Capitol Blvd., Wake Forest Road, Six Forks, Highway70/Glenwood Ave., all areas with easy access to outer Beltline:

  1. Take Outer Beltline (I-440) to Jones Franklin Road Exit
  2. Turn LEFT at top of exit ramp onto Jones Franklin Road
  3. Take Jones Franklin to the intersection of Dillard Drive
  4. Turn RIGHT onto Dillard drive.
  5. Go 2/10 miles and turn LEFT onto Corning Drive.
  6. The Orientation Center is in the Crossroads II building on the right.
  7. Enter the building's front door, proceed to the center of the atrium and turn right. You will see a television screen ahead and a hallway bearing off to the right. Proceed down that hallway into the classroom section. On your right will be Room 1410, where your WCPSS ID Badge will be made. You will be directed to a classroom from there.
 

From Sanford, Apex, Chatham County, southern Cary:

  1. Take US 1 North
  2. Take Walnut Street Exit toward Cary/Buck Jones Road
  3. Turn RIGHT onto Walnut Street
  4. At the third traffic signal, turn LEFT onto Dillard Drive.
  5. Go 3/10 miles and turn RIGHT onto Corning Drive.
  6. The Orientation Center is in the Crossroads II building on the right.
  7. Enter the building's front door, proceed to the center of the atrium and turn right. You will see a television screen ahead and a hallway bearing off to the right. Proceed down that hallway into the classroom section. On your right will be Room 1410, where your WCPSS ID Badge will be made. You will be directed to a classroom from there.
 

From Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs:

  1. Take Tryon Road West
  2. Turn RIGHT onto Jones Franklin Road
  3. After 3/10 of a mile, turn LEFT onto Dillard Drive
  4. After 2/10 of a mile, Turn LEFT onto Corning
  5. The Orientation Center is in the Crossroads II building on the right.
  6. Enter the building's front door, proceed to the center of the atrium and turn right. You will see a television screen ahead and a hallway bearing off to the right. Proceed down that hallway into the classroom section. On your right will be Room 1410, where your WCPSS ID Badge will be made. You will be directed to a classroom from there.
