Support your child's mathematics learning and understanding by clicking on the appropriate grade level and unit number. All grades follow the pacing by units and each unit takes an average of eight days to complete. Our first obligation is to teach
the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, so the units are aligned to those objectives. You can read those objectives by clicking on the link to the state website. An overview of the math "Big Ideas" are listed for you along with suggested games and literature recommendations to support and reinforce the classroom experience. Each unit contains additional ideas to encourage your child's mathematical thinking.
