REASSIGNMENT: What is the timeline for reassignment?

On February 3, 2009, the Board of Education adopted a multi-year assignment plan that assigns students to the new schools being opened by the current school construction program. The assignments apply to the 2009-10, 2010-11, and 2011-12 school years.



It is anticipated that the Board will review the plan annually. If changes are proposed, decisions regarding those changes will be made by February, prior to the next school year. Prior to making any changes, proposals will be posted on the school system website and public hearings will be scheduled by the Board.



Parents are sent an Official Notification of School Assignment on May 15th for the next school year.
