MSAP Mission and Purposes
Mission
The MSAP team will help students access quality programs by creating a positive, supportive, and collaborative climate which enables the transformation of the three MSAP grant schools into their intended restructured magnet theme
Grant Purposes
- Prevent minority group isolation.
- Provide all students with the opportunity to meet state content/achievement standards.
- Provide innovative educational methods/practices that promote diversity and increase choices in public education.
- Courses of instruction will strengthen knowledge of academic subjects and the attainment of marketable, vocational, technological and professional skills of students attending MSAP schools.
- Provide extensive professional development for teachers to improve capacity, and maintain a high performance level beyond grant funding.
- Ensure that all students enrolled at the magnet schools will have equitable access to high-quality education that will enable them to succeed academically and continue with postsecondary education or productive employment.
