For 2011-2012
Families who are new to Wake County and those who have moved to a new school attendance area in Wake County should continue to enroll at their base school for their Wake County address and bring the following items when enrolling a child:
- Parent photo ID
- A certified copy of the student's birth certificate.
- Proof of residence in the form of a current electric, city gas or city water bill, signed lease agreement or closing statement in the name of the parent(s) or court-appointed guardian with a closing date within 45 days (telephone, cable television bills and driver's licenses do not qualify).
- Immunization records.
- If coming from another school system, a completed Discipline Status Enrollment form is required. A copy of the child's latest report card and the previous year's achievement test results are helpful.
- If you and your family are residing in the home of relatives/friends, you need to call 919-431-7333, to determine the proper documentation needed.
- Please call the school to make an appointment to register your child. While not required, this can save you a lot of time.

For 2012-2013
Families who are new to Wake County
To enroll your child for the 2012-2013 school year, go to one of the schools from your address choice list. Please contact your local school or check their Website for enrollment schedules. School staff will have different times set up to receive your forms and walk you through the process.
You can also enroll your child at the Office of Student Assignment, or the Center for International Enrollment, or one of the Regional Centers for Enrollment. All incoming 1st-12th grade students for 2012-2013 must participate in the choice enrollment process to be enrolled for kindergarten and assigned to a school.
If you need information about the choice list for your address or the choice process, you can contact any school, or the Office of Student Assignment at (919) 431-7333, or the Center of International Enrollment at (919) 431-7404. Your child does not have to be present to be enrolled, but you will need to take along the following:
