Surplus Sales

Surplus computers and electronic items are now sold online through GovDeals. Please visit www.GovDeals.com for more information. The hard drives are removed from the computers and they are sold in various lot sizes. We no longer have surplus electronic sales at the Purchasing Department, located at Rock Quarry Road .

Surplus school furniture and furnishings are sold on the last Saturday of every other month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon School located at 5418 Chapel Hill Road .

The Surplus Sale dates for 2012 are:

January 28, March 31, *May 19, July 28, September 29, *November 17

*Surplus sales are every other month, the last Saturday of the month with the exception of May and November when the sale is moved to the week before.

Weather, holidays, etc. may affect the sale dates so please check with the Purchasing Department (919-856-8080) to confirm that a sale is occurring.

Payment should be made in cash and materials must be removed at the time of sale.

All items are sold "as is," no refunds, returns or exchanges.
