    Description

Leesville Road Elementary (LES) opened in August 1992 as the elementary school portion of the three-school Leesville complex.

Leesville Road Elementary School is known for fostering a sense of family among the staff, students, and parents. As the staff welcomes the continued parental involvement and support, teachers are able to apply varied teaching styles, which are adapted to meet the needs of students’ various learning styles. With such support, Leesville Road Elementary has been noted for being a School of Excellence since 2001.

LES offers Spanish, Science Resource Lab, Technology, Media, Art, Music ( only computerized Yamaha music lab in WCPSS), P.E., Problem - Based Learning Lab for accelerated K-2 students plus many more highly effective learning opportunities.

Leesville Elementary is a Green PBIS (Positive Behavior School), who has won many awards. Trophies from winning in state chess tournaments adorn the trophy case. Other trophies honor students who were winners in Science Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind. A nice combination of academics and afterschool activities makes Leesville Elementary a child-oriented collaborative learning environment.
