Description

Welcome to Penny Road Elementary School! Penny Road is committed to developing the whole child. The staff at Penny Road spend a great deal of time getting to know each child in order to better meet their specific learning needs. We believe that: "Children don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." (Maxwell) We care about your child and work to create a family atmosphere in our classrooms.
We celebrate learning. When you walk down the halls of Penny Road, it is not unusual to see children with crazy hair or to hear children cheering all because they met a learning goal. We use assessment information to support students that have not mastered the essential skills and enrich students that have already mastered the learning objectives. We like to teach in a hands-on way and even do projects to help our students learn better. Our children collaborate and are engaged in technology on a daily basis!
At our school we partner with our parents and the community. Through their support, we are able to provide enriching programs, school clubs, student assemblies, advances in technology, and classroom supplies and learning support. There isn’t one minute during the school day that we don’t have parents in our school, supporting the learning of our children!
